You’re not broken — you’re stuck in a cycle.

Let’s work together to change it.

Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy

Online in Massachusetts and Washington

Couples therapy offers a path out of painful cycles and back toward connection. Together, we can strengthen emotional safety, restore trust, and help you find your way back to one another—even if you’re unsure where to start.

Whether you’re working through communication challenges, healing after betrayal, feeling distant, or carrying the strain of everyday stress, you’ll have steady support every step of the way.

Does this sound like your relationship?

Do you feel like your partner doesn’t understand you? Do you have the same argument over and over without feeling resolved?

Maybe you’re desperate for more emotional and sexual intimacy but don’t know how to get your needs met. Or perhaps you feel alone even when they’re right beside you.

In our sessions, we will:

  • Explore your relationship dynamics and identify areas for growth

  • Practice new ways of communicating and responding to each other

  • Heal past wounds that may be impacting your connection

  • Learn how to express and receive your emotional and sexual needs

  • Build a stronger, more secure foundation for your future together

Issues, concerns, and themes worth exploring

Creating a strong foundation and secure attachment is at the heart of Emotionally Focused Therapy. I’m also passionate about:

  • Communication, conflict, and emotional connection

  • Sex and intimacy

  • Complex trauma (cPTSD) and emotional neglect

  • Infidelity, affairs, and betrayals

  • ADHD and neurodiversity within relationships

  • Non-monogamous and polyamory relationships

  • LGBTQIA+ relationships

When people feel loved they are freer, more alive, and more powerful than we ever imagined.

What to Expect in Couples Therapy

Free 15-minute Consultation

You’ll share what’s been going on, and I’ll answer your questions so you can get a feel for whether we’re a good fit to work together. From here we’ll schedule your first appointment.

Initial Appointment

In our first appointment, we’ll map out the patterns you’re stuck in and share points of conflict, and discuss your goals for therapy.

Individual Sessions

I’ll meet with each partner individually for 1-3 sessions to learn more about your life experiences, history of your relationship, and what you want to work on.

Weekly Sessions

Meeting weekly, we’ll dive into how patterns and cycles keep you feeling disconnected, discover your attachment style, and learn how to better communication.

My approach is rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a research-backed therapy that is grounded neuroscience that helps couples reconnect.

What is EFT?

I love this model. Instead of focusing on who’s “right” or “wrong,” we identify the interactional pattern—called the “Cycle” in EFT—that your relationship can get caught in. Often, each partner has a default way of coping with conflict or disconnection. These automatic reactions can quickly set off a predictable sequence, creating distance before either of you fully understands what’s happening.

In our work together, we slow that process down, make the Cycle visible, and create new ways of reaching for each other that foster closeness rather than distance.
